Alexandra and Christopher

Toronto is not only about traffic congestion and large, block skyscrapers, as Alexandra and Christopher discovered during a dusk-to-night shoot in the city. Nathan Phillips Square (and City Hall), the “Crystal” entrance to the Royal Ontario Museum, the cobble-stoned pathway in front of Osgoode Hall, and the old street lamp-lit grounds of the University of Toronto’s St. George campus are just a few of the surprisingly romantic settings the city has to offer. This is especially the case at night, when colours seem much more vibrant against a grey or dark backdrop.

The two tie the knot this August in the this big city.

Carina And Ray

My last shoot until Dec. 31. … And it was cold! However, photographing Carina and Ray made it all worthwhile. This very chic, stylish couple made me feel as if I was photographing for a fashion magazine. All the planets must have been aligned because everything seemed just perfect, from the dramatic sky to the warm glow hovering over Toronto’s skyline. We created some magic. Carina knew exactly what she wanted for the engagement shoot. “Something different Mark. I’m counting on you!” Carina exhorted. Talk about no pressure. But that’s usually when I work at my best. This was just part one of the couple’s engagement session. Part two involves us flying to Las Vegas in early 2011 to photograph again “something very different.” The Nevada desert and the Las Vegas strip lit up at dusk will surely create some spectacular backgrounds for Carina and Ray. I can’t wait!

Polina and Al

Love is strapping on a pair of skates and risking embarrassment for the one you love. And Al clearly loves Polina! We took this intensely amorous couple to Nathan Phillips Square to capture their moment on ice and emerged injury free and with some wonderful images. We then took to the streets of downtown Toronto, where this stylish couple looked well within their element. Al’s playfulness in front of the camera, and Polina’s million watt smile were joys to capture, and we can’t wait to see more of that on their wedding day.

Nairesaie and Adrian

The petulant breeze off the waters of Lake Ontario did nothing to put out the fire that resides in both Nairesaie and Adrian’s hearts. Adrian’s suave demeanor, and Nairesaie’s made for TV smile made for a captivating day of photography. Their remarkable comfort in front of the camera will undoubtedly make for some incredible images on their wedding day, and we will be honoured to document their love.

Fall in Toronto – drab, dreary, drizzling. Sonia and Anthony – debonair, delightful, and definitely in love! Mother Nature’s chilly bluster could do nothing to stifle the warmth that this lovely couple have for one another. The red brick buildings and rain slicked cobblestones of Toronto’s Distillery provided the perfect backdrop to capture the happiness that each share with the other. It was a tremendous pleasure to be able to photograph such stylish and charismatic people, and I am certain your wedding day will be no less than superb.

On a gorgeous evening in Toronto, I found myself with Stephanie and Mark. A couple that in my opinion, was simply a “ breath of fresh air ”. It was so pleasing to capture so much charisma and sense of style. Comfort and confidence oozed in front of the lens as we strolled through the Distillery District, Toronto’s hippest address! It is oh so easy when I connect with couples and they understand the importance of trust within the relationship of a photographer his or her subjects. Thank you Stephanie and Mark for allowing me to express my art and creativity so freely. I am anxious and so excited to see the unveiling of your mystic design for your wedding day.

During brunch hour on a lovely sunny day in downtown Toronto, I had the chance to photograph a very modern and hip couple full of life and love. Some direction was required with Antonella and Michael but mostly their naturally high spirits and the striking urban backgrounds was all that was needed to make some great moments.
