month: August 2009

Here we are coming around full circle with our “So hip it hurts couple” Stephanie and Mark.  Right from the beginning everything clicked. They possessed the trust with our studio as their photographer of choice and I enjoyed capturing their style as a unit.  So it was no surprise when everything sailed easily and beautifully during their “Big Day”.  We started off by capturing some fun and games.  The whole gist is for the bridesmaids to make the groom and his boys work hard so the groom can have access to go see his darling. The girls were no holds bar and made these guys do everything from waxing leg hair ( OUCH! ) to push ups that the military would frown upon.  Then came the traditional touch of the Tea Ceremony. A old tradition that symbolizes so much (respect and family unity) with so little, a cup of tea.   We progressed into the location shoot and we seized every minute.  We managed to get a variety of environments, poses and sentiments.  After all that we found ourselves at The Carlu, which was designed with a lot of character and elegance.  This whole journey was a real blast from beginning to the end.   Thank you Stephanie and Mark for the privilege and we wish you the best.

A special thanks to Lisa L. Allain of  Visions of Platinum & Garnet ( Wedding Planner ) for helping the day run so smoothly!

Here we stood mid-July and it was storming and the thunder that followed was literally shaking the ground beneath us.  Wow, again not your ideal weather for a wedding to start off with and did I mention that we are in JULY!!.   Well, as surprising as the weathers’ temperament has been lately here in the GTA nothing could have prepared us for the harmonious couple we were about to witness.  Peter, a calm, cool and cerebral type. Darina, a whirlwind of a soul with loads of passion and fire. What a delight to see two seemingly opposing characters collide and fuse together with so much love. There were perfect moments every which way to be captured throughout the day. In the evening we collected ourselves in the beautiful grounds of the Eagles Nest Golf Club. The celebration, just like that couples love was a perfect balance of dancing, colorful speeches and delicious food.  Thank you, Darina and Peter it was simply special to have shared your big day.
